The Mobile Insights web team was unable to keep pace with all of the conferences produced quarterly, featuring innovators in the wireless industry. The very nature of the conferences introduced difficulties. Speakers, panelists, and demoers facing travel delays, last minute illnesses, etc., forced web designers to affect changes to the live site, often creating problems along the way.

Further, the company's business team required the ability to survey conference attendees during the conference. Timeliness of such surveys was critical. For example, analysts needed to gauge effectiveness of various demos and panels. Often, survey ideas surfaced during the live panel discussions. Such opportunities were unexploitable due to the time it typically takes to create and deploy a survey form.

Stonegate developed a conference and survey authoring system, allowing conference administrators to make real-time changes to the agenda, and to author and publish surveys on the fly. Surveys were attached to appropriate agenda items, automatically opening and closing during the lifespan of the agenda item (panel discussion, demo session, keynote address, etc.). Survey tabulation was available real-time, so results could be published to the conference attendees. Mobile Insights realized a huge business advantage through the implementation of this system.
