The service provides a class plan authoring tool which teachers (or their
assistants/volunteers) will use. They are able to specify subject material to
be covered, homework assignments (day of assignment, date assignment is due, and
date to be graded and returned), exams (date announced, date given, and date of
grade notification), and miscellaneous notes. Teachers can organize class materials
separately for each of the classes or subjects they teach.
Parents enter the site daily, and are able to select teachers and classes of their
children, and so can quickly and easily help their children to stay on top of their work.
The service is subscription based, with parents footing the bill. It is not only
free to teachers and principals, it is also a new fundraising source where 50% of
the subscription fees are channeled back to schools (directly, or through their
PTA's) as indicated by the parent members. Printouts can be made available for parents
unable to afford the online subscription.
